Book Review: A Pride of Place, Rural Residences of Fauquier County

A Pride of Place: Rural Residences of Fauquier County, VirginiaA Pride of Place: Rural Residences of Fauquier County, Virginia by Kimberly Prothro Williams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book offers a good overview of Fauquier County historic homes and their architectural history. It is well-researched and laid out in an organized manner under the Catalog Section. It would be interesting to update the book with new photographs, ideally in color, for comparison to the old black and white ones, particularly since the most recent photos date to 1980 (p. 56). I found this book useful for researching structures that have intrigued me for years, as well as learning about the architectural evolution of Fauquier County, Virginia.
