Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was determined to finish reading “Thinking, Fast and Slow” after having started it three years ago. Filled with useful insights and exhaustive descriptions of experiments and studies, I found it difficult to digest more than a few pages at a time. I often reread passages to make sure I understood the implications of Kahneman’s arguments. Ultimately, I came away with new ways of interpreting how we make decisions that are often misguided, erroneous or for unrelated reasons. The ideas this book puts forth are relevant to so much happening around us right now, that it is probably no accident that many other respected authors cite “Thinking, Fast and Slow” in their own work. Even though it took me so long to get through this book, I will probably reread it because it is already helping me make better decisions moving forward.
